OKEMOS, Mich. (WLNS) – Okemos girls golf won CAAC Blue championship earlier in the week and is the 6 Sports Team of the Week.

In the conference championship, the Wolves were led by two underclassmen in sophomore Anika Srivastava who finished in first place with a score of 80 and freshman Saisha Patil who finished in second with a score of 82.

After her win in the conference championship, Srivastava was very grateful for her support system that she says help lead to her success.

"It felt pretty great having the support of all my teammates, my coach, my family, it's just great," said Srivastava.

Patil believes what has made Okemos so special this season is their constant communication.

"We all have different experiences so we can all learn from each other in different ways," explained P
