TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Pima County has started accepting applications for funding aimed at affordable housing projects.
The Board of Supervisors has set aside $5 million for affordable housing gap funding and an additional $3.5 million for direct assistance to help residents remain housed safely.
Applicants can request up to $1 million per project in categories like rental and homeownership developments, preservation of existing projects, and transitional housing. However, the County may choose not to fund or to partially fund any category.
Applications opened on Oct. 1, and proposals are due by Oct. 31, 2025. Qualified developers and agencies are encouraged to apply.
An evaluation committee will review the applications and prioritize projects benefiting tribal communities. Recommendat
