INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Former BYU wide receiver Puka Nacua fell across the goal line to pull the Los Angeles Rams within one score on Thursday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers.
The play gave Nacua his second receiving touchdown of the season.
Through the first three quarters, Nacua had eight receptions for 65 yards and the touchdown.
To start the year, Nacua has been on a historic pace, similar to his rookie season. If he kept his numbers through the 17 games in the season, he would set the NFL record for receptions and receiving yards.
However, we aren’t talking about barely passing the record by ten yards or a few catches. He is on pace to shatter Michael Thomas’ receptions record from 2019 and Calvin Johnson’s yards record from 2012.
