New Delhi: Director Shashank Khaitan’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari has opened to a moderate response at the box office. The family entertainer, led by Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, was released on October 2 and earned approximately Rs 9.25 crore net in India on its first day, as reported by Sacnilk.
The film’s biggest hurdle has been its direct clash with Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1. The Kannada prequel, directed by and starring Rishab, witnessed a massive opening of over Rs 60 crore pan-India, overshadowing Khaitan’s lighthearted romantic comedy.
