Bhopal: In a shocking incident, multiple units of blood and plasma were reported stolen from the blood bank of the premier All India Institute of Medical Sciences ( AIIMS ) in Bhopal, police said on Thursday.

Following a complaint filed by Dr Gyanendra Prasad, the blood bank in-charge at AIIMS Bhopal, the Bagh Sevania police registered an FIR on Wednesday against an outsourced employee under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

As per the complaint, blood and plasma units had been disappearing from the blood bank for a long time, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Misrod area) Rajnish Kashyap Koul told PTI.
