KL Rahul scored 100 runs from 197 balls for Team India in the first innings of the ongoing first Test against the West Indies in Ahmedabad. The century at Narendra Modi Stadium on Friday (October 3) helped Rahul overtake Gautam Gambhir and Rohit Sharma in an elite list. During their playing days, Gambhir and Rohit scored nine Test centuries for India as openers, whereas Rahul now has 10 Test centuries as an opener to his name.

He completed his 10th Test century as opener for India on Friday morning by taking a single on the 190th ball he faced. He hammered 12 fours for the Shubman Gill-led side.
