A man suffered a burst lip when he was assaulted in a Motherwell pub. ‌

James Moody, 38, was ordered to do 80 hours of unpaid community work when he appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week. ‌

He admitted flooring the victim with a punch at Merlins Bar in Muir Street on April 7, 2023. ‌

Moody, of Park Drive, Newmains, was on bail at the time.
