Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has begun reducing its workforce, offering severance packages of up to two years’ salary to employees whose skills no longer match the company’s evolving business needs, Money Control reports. The move comes as the IT giant adapts to changing client demands, increased automation, and the need to remain agile in a fast-changing technology environment. According to the report, the restructuring will affect around 2 per cent of TCS’s workforce globally, which translates to more than 12,000 employees over the next year. Most of those impacted are mid to senior-level staff whose current skills are no longer aligned with client requirements or who have not upskilled to meet new business priorities.
