This Red Sox -Yankees thing. Maybe it’s old school to you, but it still has a little juice left in it, am I right? Especially when you’re on the winning side.

And when you’re on the other side, as we find ourselves this season , those who kept you from winning should be fired into the sun. That’s what “rivalry” does to you. Passion becomes euphoric. Passion also burns and hurts to the core when it doesn’t work your way.

Alex Cora has been criticized for nerdy moves most of this season as Red Sox manager, and rightfully so. But Tuesday night in the Bronx, he managed his team as well as an undermanned, defensively challenged team can be managed.
