EXCLUSIVE: Luke Brawley’s nonfiction agency Indox has boarded two new titles, Jaripeo by Efraín Mojica and Rebecca Zweig, and Scarlet Girls by Paula Cury. Both films are feature documentary debuts and are currently in post-production.

Indox will handle worldwide festival representation for both films.

Jaripeo is directed by Efraín Mojica and Rebecca Zweig and produced by Sarah Strunin. Set in the rural rodeos of Michoacán—long considered a bastion of machismo—the film reframes this highly traditional space by centering queer rancheros who navigate desire and identity. Synopsis reads: Through a lyrical blend of memory, vérité, and poetic imagery, the protagonists navigate the rodeo’s hypermasculine tradition to find belonging within their community and within themselves.
