US President Donald Trump found himself at the center of laughter during a high-level summit in Copenhagen after repeatedly confusing Armenia with Albania while taking credit for a peace deal in the South Caucasus, foreign media reported.

World leaders, including Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, turned the slip into a running joke, teasing Macron for failing to congratulate Albania on a “peace deal” it never signed.

“You should make an apology … to us because you didn’t congratulate us on the peace deal that President Trump made between Albania and Azerbaijan,” Rama said, prompting laughter from Aliyev. Macron responded with a grin: “I am sorry for that.”
