Tata Steel Share Price Target : Tata Steel shares are in action today (October 3), gaining as much as 4 per cent to emerge as the top performer from in the both benchmarks -- Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex. Tata Steel shares opened in the green at Rs 168.12 on NSE against the previous close of Rs 167.51 and went on to make an intraday high of Rs 174.74 -- also its new 52-week high. Around 2 PM, Tata Steel shares traded firmly in the green to quote 3.30 per cent higher at Rs 173 on NSE. As many as 1.65 crore shares of the Tata company changed hands around the same time. On BSE, Tata Steel reported a spurt in volume by more than 2 times during Friday's trade.
