TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA)— The National Hurricane Center is monitoring two systems in the Southwestern Atlantic and Central Tropical Atlantic.
An area of low pressure could form along a remnant frontal boundary near the northwestern Bahamas and southern Florida in the next day or two, the NHC said.
Development of this system is expected to be slow as the system moves northwestward across the Florida Peninsula and into the Gulf.
The chance of formation in the next 48 hours is 10 percent.
The chance of formation in the next seven days is 10 percent.
A tropical wave is expected to move off the coast of Africa in the next day or two, the NHC said.
The wave is expected to interact with another disturbance in the eastern tropical Atlantic.
