PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Red Sox season is now over after running out of gas against the Yankees in a winner-take-all game three last night.

The game remained scoreless in the early going, but New York would break it open in the fourth inning, scoring four runs.

Though the Yankees wouldn’t score again, the Red Sox could not get their offense going all night.

The Yankees took the pivotal game three by that four-to-nothing score.

The Yankees will move on to face the Toronto Blue Jays.
