Chennai-based deep tech firm Zuppa Geo Navigation Technologies has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT-Madras and the 8 Base Repair Depot (8 BRD) of the Indian Air Force, to jointly undertake in-house Research & Development (R&D) in defence technologies.

The partnership will leverage the deep-tech expertise of Zuppa Geo Navigation Technologies in UAVs and navigation systems with the research and innovation ecosystem of IIT-Madras, and the operational experience and domain knowledge of the Indian Air Force’s 8 BRD.

Through the MoU, the three stakeholders will focus on developing practical solutions that enhance operational efficiency, autonomy, and resilience in defence aviation and related systems.
