ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - A fatal collision happened overnight in Orangeburg County, authorities say.
The collision took place on Friday at 2:25 a.m. on Jernigan Drive near U.S. 301/Five Chop Road about one and a half miles from the city, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
SCHP says two people on a moped were traveling south when they were hit from behind by a 2021 Kia sedan.
Authorities the two people died at the scene from the collision. No one in the car was hurt.
The incident remains under investigation by the SCHP.
