MADISON, Wis. — Seven people were detained in a targeted enforcement operation on Madison's northeast side, according to Centro Hispano of Dane County.
The local nonprofit reported that the arrests took place at a single residence Thursday morning that ICE had targeted.
Despite ongoing rumors of ICE activity in Madison, Thursday's incident is the first confirmed presence of ICE in Wisconsin's capital.
"Centro and Voces de la Frontera are gathering verified information and providing support to impacted families," Centro Hispano stated in a press release.
