BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - As the Bryan Police Department (BPD) continues to investigate the Monday morning fatal shooting on the city’s west side, investigators are still working to figure out why DeBrandon Charles, 27, was shot and killed.

In a Thursday update, police said the investigation revealed three people were involved in a physical fight that resulted in shots being fired in a parking lot in the 2400 block of Jaguar Drive. The victim, DeBrandon Charles, died at a local hospital.

His family told KBTX they couldn’t imagine why anyone would want to harm him, let alone kill him.
