An Allentown School District principal has resigned from her job following viral videos in which she was accused of acting erratically in front of children at a city park in an incident she says was a mental health episode.

Stephanie M. Williams, 39, served as principal of Harrison-Morton Middle School , but was placed on administrative leave following the Sept. 13 incident at Bucky Boyle Park at 10 Pump Place.

Williams was using her accrued paid time off while the matter was under review, and she submitted her resignation on Wednesday, school district spokeswoman Melissa Reese said Thursday.
