The Impossible Fortune is the fifth book in the Thursday Murder Club series by Richard Osman, the undisputed ‘King of Cosy Crime’.

For anyone unfamiliar with the series, it’s set in a retirement community where ‘Red’ Ron, a former union firebrand; Ibrahim, a retired psychiatrist; Elizabeth, a spy who is not entirely out of the game and Joyce, an ex-nurse, comprise the crime-solving Thursday Murder Club.
