Building collapse under investigation in Fairmont

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — A building collapse early Friday morning in Fairmont is under investigation.

The building collapse was reported just before 2 a.m. on Monroe Street. Monroe Street is now closed from Adams Street to Hull Alley.

The backside of the 5-story building caved in.

It’s believed the building was unoccupied.
