The Fremantle Rowing Club had an oarsome success at the Australian Beach Sprints Rowing Championships.
It had entered the championships in Sydney from September 18 to 21 riding on a wave of success after ending a title drought at the State Rowing Championships.
Its members competed across various categories, winning six gold, two silver and four bronze medals.
“It was great to see how we stacked up against the best in the country,” FRC member Dan Holding said.
“We managed to secure all three gold medals in the under-19 girls and schoolgirl solos and our under-23 mixed double even managed to secure a win against the Australian team.
“I couldn’t be prouder of our team.”
FRC president Colin Armstrong said the medals were the result of dedication, hard work and commitment to excellence.
