MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEVV) — Two people are facing charges after police say they were smoking synthetic marijuana before a crash.
On Thursday around 1:40 p.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Madison Square Drive in Madisonville.
Police say the driver, Christopher Devine, was unconscious, but that the passenger, Bianca Woodall, was alert.
While police were trying to wake Devine up, they say they noticed a "blunt" in the ash tray.
When officers asked Woodall if they had taken anything, they say she pulled a bag of synthetic marijuana out.
Officers say Devine came to after they gave him Narcan.
When asked about the drugs, police say Woodall admitted to smoking them with Devine just before the crash.
Both Devine and Woodall are in the Hopkins County Jail on drug charges.
