Gregg Wallace has faced ridicule after showcasing a pasta dish that critics have branded as something a university student might rustle up in their halls of residence. ‌

The former MasterChef presenter demonstrated what he described as an 'easy dinner' - a simple pasta sauce comprising tomatoes, onion, garlic and oregano. ‌

The 60-year-old then combined his sauce with farfalle bow pasta before finishing it off with grated parmesan cheese. However, food enthusiasts were swift to mock the elementary nature of the meal. ‌
