BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Community members are invited to come out and support a Baton Rouge police officer diagnosed with cancer.

The Baton Rouge Police Department is holding a benefit dinner on Friday, Oct. 3, to raise money to help Deputy Chief Myron Daniels win his battle with cancer.

All proceeds will help the family with expenses.

The event is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at BRPD Headquarters, located at 9000 Airline Highway in Baton Rouge.

Each diner is $15 and includes jambalaya and white beans, smoked chicken, salad, and a roll.
