Concerns over the new GP appointment booking system are leading to increased demand, so experts have revealed the conditions pharmacists can treat to save patients time and stress.
From October 1, patients will be able to request appointments, ask questions and describe symptoms online throughout the day rather than calling their surgery or visiting in person. All GP practices in England are now required to keep online consultation tools open from 8am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, to stop the "8am scramble" as patients ring in to get an appointment before all the slots are taken.
