India’s export of petroleum products surged to a one-year high at 2.2 million barrels per day in September, up from 2.1 mbd in August, as per data from Kpler. On an annual basis, the exports declined by 4% from 2.3 mbd.

Surging demand from key global markets

UAE, Netherlands, Brazil emerged as the top destinations for the country’s refined oil products. Exports to the UAE rose to 201,000 bpd last month, up 44% from 140,000 bpd in August while exports to Netherland increased by as much as 296% 131,000 bpd from 33,000 bpd. Exports to Brazil also surged to 98,000 bpd, up from 40,000 bpd.
