Nashville Police arrested a man after another was shot and killed in what investigators called a case of mistaken identity.
Dorian Brooks, 22, was charged with criminal homicide after a shooting Oct. 2 at the Waterleaf Apartments on Antioch's Franklin Road at about 8:30 p.m.
Police found a 42-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the apartment complex. The man was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died.
Police have not yet publicly identified the victim.
According to police, Brooks mistook the victim for his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend and fired at the man.
Brooks was booked into the Downtown Detention Center at 7:30 a.m. Oct. 3, with no bond listed, according to online jail records.
