**Tragic Loss: Adrian Daulby Remembered After Attack** Adrian Daulby, a 53-year-old man who lost his life in the recent Manchester synagogue attack, has been remembered fondly by his neighbours. They described him as a "great guy" with no one having a bad word to say about him. Mr Daulby had expressed uncertainty about attending the synagogue for Yom Kippur due to health issues, according to a friend. In the aftermath of the attack at the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue in Crumpsall on Thursday morning, his friend made several calls to him, which went unanswered. Hussain Waqas, 27, who lived next door to Mr Daulby, shared his shock, stating, "We used to talk for hours and hours outside. Even though he wasn't family, he was that person I would always go to speak to." Mr Daulby had a close relationship with the synagogue and the Rabbi there. He was known for his love of nature and animals, even running a YouTube channel dedicated to birds. Hussain recalled a recent conversation where Mr Daulby mentioned the upcoming festival but said he would not be fasting due to his health. "It just shows you never know where life takes you," Hussain added. He described Mr Daulby as a humble person who brought joy to the local children, often treating them with sweets and water guns during the summer. John, a fellow resident, echoed these sentiments, stating, "He was a really good guy. Community-spirited. He would feed my cat for me whenever I was doing shift work." He expressed his fears when police visited the street on Thursday, asking about Mr Daulby’s property. Flowers have been left at Mr Daulby’s home as a tribute. Neighbour Abdul Rahimi, who had known him for 20 years, described him as a fantastic neighbour who was always helpful. "All the children in the street loved him so much. Whenever the kids came home from school, they would first go and knock on his door," he said. Abdul learned of the attack while driving to Skegness and was later informed that Mr Daulby was missing. He recounted trying to contact him, saying, "One of my neighbours made a lot of calls on his phone. It was ringing, but no answer." Alan Coulton, 72, also paid his respects, stating, "It's a shock. Him and his brother, they were great lads." The community continues to mourn the loss of a man who was cherished by many.
