(NewsNation) — At least two men have been taken into custody for violent attacks on women in Chicago in recent months, police told local media.

An alleged serial "loop puncher," identified by authorities as 32-year-old William Livingston, made headlines in September for alleged attacks on multiple women in Chicago's central business district.

One victim, Kathleen Miles, was struck in the face while walking with a coworker to the train. The attack broke her nose and fractured multiple parts of her face.

“This has rocked our whole family cause the rock needs someone to take care of her,” Miles told NewsNation affiliate WGN.

Chicago Police Department records show Livingston has been arrested seven times in the last 10 years for attacks similar to Miles'.
