Mark Carney will head to the White House next Tuesday, his second visit as Canada’s prime minister, as officials from the two countries negotiate on trade and security issues .

Carney and United States president Donald Trump will hold working meetings that day, according to a statement from the prime minister’s office on Friday.

He visited Washington in early May, the week after he led his Liberal Party to victory in a national election.
