A Mississauga man wanted in the brutal attack on missing Elnaz Hajtamiri has been arrested in Texas by the U.S. Marshals.

Cops say a Canada-wide arrest warrant had been issued for Sukhpreet Singh, 25, after information emerged that he allegedly played a role in the December 2021 attack.

York Regional Police said that on Aug.19, the famed U.S. Marshals caught up with Singh in Austin, Texas. On Sept. 30, he was extradited back to York and charged with aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence. Amazingly, he remains in custody.
