Coronation Street welcomes back star in surprising new Tim Metcalfe storyline

Next week, Coronation Street will introduce a new character in a worrying storyline involving Tim Metcalfe.

This follows the soap's triumph at the Inside Soap Awards 2025 on Monday night, where it was crowned Best Soap.

In a sneak peek of next week's episodes, Tim, portrayed by Joe Duttine, encounters an old flame while on a taxi job and immediately recognises his customer as his former girlfriend Trisha Pinkerton, whom he knew back in the 1980s.

Later, as Tim and his wife Sally Metcalfe celebrate their anniversary, she kindly suggests that Tim heads to the Rovers to lift Kevin Webster's spirits after a difficult few months.
