A major retailer which last had a store on the UK high street five years ago is officially back.

Laura Ashley once had 150 stores across Britain, but back in 2020 it sadly collapsed into administration due to the impact of the Covid pandemic.

This meant all of its shops disappeared, leaving fans mourning the loss of the British brand.

However, Brits are now being encouraged to dry their tears as a brand-new Laura Ashley store is back on the high street.

On Friday, September 26, the store officially opened its doors to shoppers in Essex.

The 10,000 sq ft store is located in the Lakeside shopping centre, and is being operated in partnership with Next, the Express reported.
