A Russian woman who has been working in Bengaluru for the past 12 years has drawn attention with an Instagram post describing the cultural quirks she noticed in Indian workplaces.

In her now-viral post, Iuliia Aslamova listed several practices that may seem unusual abroad but are normalised in India.

“When I started my career in India 12 years ago, I was amazed when my colleagues used to care and ask me if I had my breakfast, tea/coffee, and lunch,” she wrote, calling it a “super sweet and welcoming restart” to her professional journey.
