**Trump Sets Deadline for Hamas to Accept Gaza Peace Proposal**

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump has given Hamas until Sunday evening to agree to a proposed peace deal for Gaza. He warned that failure to reach an agreement would result in severe consequences for the militant group.

"An agreement must be reached with Hamas by Sunday evening at 6 p.m. ET," Trump stated on social media Friday. He emphasized that all countries have endorsed the proposal, calling it a "last chance" for Hamas. He added, "If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas. THERE WILL BE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST ONE WAY OR THE OTHER."

The proposal was unveiled earlier this week alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It suggests placing Gaza under the control of a temporary governing committee, which would include Trump and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. The plan does not require civilians to evacuate the territory, a point Trump had previously considered.

Key demands of the proposal include Hamas disarming and releasing any remaining hostages. Surviving fighters would be permitted to leave. A source close to Hamas indicated that the group is currently reviewing the proposal.

Trump had previously stated that Hamas would have "three or four days" to respond to the 20-point document. His latest social media post aims to increase pressure on the group amid ongoing conflict, which escalated after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023.

In his remarks, Trump claimed that many Hamas fighters are "surrounded and MILITARILY TRAPPED," waiting for his command to act. He warned, "As for the rest, we know where and who you are, and you will be hunted down, and killed."

The situation remains tense as the deadline approaches, with mixed reactions from Palestinians in Gaza regarding Trump's plan. Some express concern that its implementation could jeopardize the future of the region.
