Brashard Smith is enjoying a steady rise at the Kansas City Chiefs.

The rookie running back has shown flashes of potential in an inconsistent Chiefs' offence.

Kansas' ground attack has struggled this year, with Patrick Mahomes being the team's lead rusher with 130 yards.

Xavier Worthy's return from injury and Smith's uptick in usage helped the Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday , with Mahomes putting up a four-touchdown performance.

So with Smith proving he can be useful, fans are desperate to see the 22-year-old get more action in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars .

And if the words of Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid in their pre-game press conference are anything to go by, they should be getting what they want.
