The head of Oakland County government is proposing extensive ethics reforms on the heels of Detroit Free Press investigations that detailed potential conflicts of interest by multiple high-ranking elected officials, including the chairman of the board of commissioners.

Oakland County Executive Dave Coulter wants all county elected leaders and other top officials to report important financial interests. He also wants the disclosures online for the public to review.
