Jamshedpur, Oct 3: Tension gripped Sakchi’s Sanjay Market on Friday when over 100 youths suddenly stormed the area near Hanuman Temple, attacked shopkeepers, and looted cash, leaving several injured and triggering panic in the bustling marketplace. Advertisements

Mobile shop owner Nitin Srivastava, garment trader Amrit, and his father were seriously injured in the assault, while Nitin’s father Naresh Srivastava sustained minor injuries.

During the attack, the mob snatched Rs 22,000 in cash from Naresh.

Nitin said the violence began when a few youths arrived at his shop and started abusing him.

Within minutes, a large mob armed with pistols and sharp weapons gathered and launched a violent attack, forcing traders to shut their shops and flee for safety.
