Another round of showers and thunderstorms rolled through Northern California overnight, adding to rain totals for the first week of the new rain year.

As of Friday morning at 9 a.m., these were the four-day rain totals since Monday:

Sacramento: 0.29 inches

Stockton: 0.41 inches

Modesto: 0.08 inches

Auburn: 0.82 inches

Yuba City: 0.43 inches

The rain totals leave Stockton at 59% of normal for the entire month of October. Sacramento is at 34% and Modesto 15%, Meteorologist Ophelia Young said.

Expect dry skies and sunshine in the Valley by noon on Friday with the Foothills and Sierra likely to see some showers and isolated thunderstorms into the late afternoon, according to our weather team.

The weekend will be dry and occasionally breezy.
