Garry Chapman, son of reality TV star Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman, was dismissed from the Priceville Police Department following a high-speed pursuit last month that ended in a fatal crash involving 17-year-old bystander Tristan Hollis.

On Sept. 6, officers were in pursuit of Archie Hale in nearby Hartselle. Authorities had attempted to stop Hale for moving violations and suspected DUI. A pursuit, which Chapman joined, was initiated when Hale failed to stop on Interstate 65.

Hale exited the interstate onto Main Street in Hartselle, where his vehicle collided with the minivan carrying four teenagers, including Hollis. Hollis passed away from his injuries and the other occupants were treated for injuries.

Hale has since been charged with murder, DUI and other offenses. He
