MCFARLAND, Wis. -- The McFarland Community Ice Arena will be celebrating the grand opening of its new Starion Bank Rink and expanded facility on Saturday. The Starion Bank Rink is a 50 ft by 90 ft training rink with boards, benches, scoreboards, just like a regular rink. President of the MCIA board of directors, Tod Pritchard, expressed his excitement on opening the new and improved arena to the people of McFarland. “We're not just expanding our space; we're expanding our potential to nurture future generations of athletes,” Pritchard said. The U-6 and U-8 teams will use this new rink for their games, and the older teams will use it as additional practice.Some of the young hockey players have already gotten to test the new ice.
