Healing Field of Honor returns to Naperville’s Rotary Hill

The Healing Field of Honor, a tribute to military veterans, active service members and their families, will be on display Nov. 7 to 12 at Rotary Hill, 443 Aurora Ave.

This year’s theme is “Welcome Home” to commemorate service members’ return from the Vietnam War about 50 years ago. In addition to the display of American flags, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial will be featured.

It is the fifth time the flags will be on display in Naperville since 2009. The last visit was in 2015.

A brief opening ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, in which Vietnam veterans will share stories and answer questions at the Vietnam Wall of Remembrance.
