When Zion Vierra's two oldest daughters, ages 3 and 4, recently got into a fight, the father of three wanted them to have a consequence.

He noticed it was a nice day, so he sent the girls outside for their punishment: running laps.

“I had spanked them previously, and I didn’t really like spanking. I never felt good about it. They never felt good about it. So I wanted to switch away from that,” Vierra tells TODAY.com. “We wanted to find new ways to enforce discipline. So I just decided, ‘Hey, let’s go run a few laps to get some energy out.’”
