CHARLES TOWN — The Jefferson County Commission voted Thursday to deny an Employee Issue Resolutions Appeal made by Jefferson County Emergency Services Agency Director and Chief Mike Sine. Following the special meeting with Jefferson County Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 5351 on Sept. 22, where both parties discussed hiring concerns, Sine was written up for insubordination by County Administrator Edwina Benites after not attending important meetings to work on budget issues. Sine requested that the appeal be addressed publicly during the meeting.
