An old video of late Assamese icon Zubeen Garg speaking fondly about his friendship with Bollywood’s celebrated singer Arijit Singh has resurfaced online, striking a chord with fans mourning his untimely demise.

Zubeen and Arijit, though from different musical backgrounds, were known to share a warm bond and an easy camaraderie built on mutual respect and quirks.

In a podcast interview, Zubeen had described their contrasting lifestyles with humour. “He is like my brother. He is into ganja. I am into drinks," he laughed, before adding a playful analogy: “I am into Navy, he is into Air Force. He always says, ‘Dada, tumi Air Force ae cholse aasho.’ But no, I hate dhuaan (smoke)."
