Akshay Kumar has made a deeply personal revelation while urging parents to stay vigilant about their children’s online safety. Speaking at the launch of Cyber Awareness Month October 2025 in Mumbai, the actor shared how his 13-year-old daughter Nitara was approached by a stranger while playing an online video game.

The event, held at the Director General of Police office, was attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, senior police officials and the actor himself. While the programme focused on the rising threats of cybercrime, Akshay’s story struck the sharpest chord in the room.

A disturbing incident

Narrating what happened, Akshay said the stranger initially sent friendly in-game messages such as “thank you" and “well played." But soon, the tone changed.
