Sean “Diddy” Combs was planning for a future outside of prison.
During the music mogul's sentencing hearing on Oct. 3, a letter from a Florida nonprofit filed with the court the day prior revealed Combs has five speaking arrangements scheduled at The Miami Foundation beginning October 14.”
Speaking for the prosecution, Assistant U.S. Attorney Christy Slavik slammed the events—presumably scheduled under the assumption Combs would be a free man at that time—as “the height of hubris,” per NBC News .
“He has booked speaking engagements in Miami for next week,” Slavik said. “That is the opposite of the rule of law.”
