Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider says star shortstop Bo Bichette’s availability for the American League Divisional Series is up in the air.

Bichette hasn’t played since Sept. 6 when he suffered a knee injury sliding into home against the New York Yankees. Although the two-time Major League Baseball All-Star has begun working out, Schneider says he’s truly day-to-day.

“Day-to-day still,” Schneider said to the media on Friday . “Trying to do more every single day. Coming right down to the wire. We’ll see how today goes, and make that decision tomorrow.”

Schneider says Bichette will try to run the bases and hit on Friday, before the ALDS series against the Yankees begins on Saturday.
