A Ridge man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle on William Floyd Parkway in Upton Wednesday, striking a guard rail, Suffolk police said.

Donald Crispi, 57, was northbound on William Floyd Parkway, operating a 2014 three-wheel Harley Davidson about 5:45 p.m., when he crashed near Express Drive North, police said.

Crispi was airlifted by a police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead; The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check, police said.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, police said.
